Went to pick up my brother from Charles City today. I told him that Jesus said that the penalty for working on the sabbath is death. I was wrong. It was Yahweh that said it. I asked my grandma about it. She said when Christ died God got rid of the crazy punishments. Good thing Jesus came and straightened shit out. God might still be wiping out entire nations and letting his army rape women and slaughter children...

curse words
I just read this article about how people are upset about a new television show starring Williams Shatner called Shit My Dad Says. Of course the word "shit" is replaced by a group of symbols (!#%& My Dad Says). The show is based on the book by the same name. Funny because I never heard of anyone boycotting the book...And that's because these idiots don't go to the bookstore probably because of all the evil science books and Harry Potter witchcraft memorabilia!

Well, I messed up already...again. I realized after eating my Healthy Choice lunch that it contained "chicken meat". I didn't see any chicken in it!
I decided not to post on my blog everyday, but at least once a week. That way it doesn't become a task.
I had a very cheesy dinner tonight: half of a cheese log w/crackers, a grilled cheese, and nacho cheese Doritos! Yum.
I saw the 1962 Stanley Kubrick film, Lolita, last night. I liked it. Sue Lyon is (or was) hott!!
I started Theodore Roosevelt's autobiography today. The first chapter is about his childhood, and in one part he talks about how he realized he was nearsighted because all of his friends could read things far away and all he could see was a blur. Then I tried to recall the first time I realized I needed glasses; I actually did remember! I was probably about eight years old. I was in my grandma's backyard with our neighbor Robby. I asked to try on his glasses to see what they were like. I put them on, looked around and was astounded at the crisp clearness of my surroundings! (Don't ask me how I managed to see the chalkboard up until that point!) Before long I had my own pair of glasses. I remember being amazed that I was able to see the other half of the moon that wasn't lit up by the sun, and I had never seen so many stars! I was definitely happy to have 20/20 vision.

My New Year's resolutions are:
1) Go vegetarian (not confident this will last very long, but we'll see...)
2) Post everyday on my blog.
3) Be awesome at my job.
I already messed up today by accidentally ordering ravioli with meat sauce at Fazoli's. It's only the first of the year so I'm gonna stick with it. All my groceries today were meat free.
Why am I going vegetarian?
a) I'm trying to be more healthy (yes I'll probably have to supplement my B12 and keep an eye on my iron).
b) Animals are cute, and we share common ancestry. I feel a little guilty when I eat them.
c) American's consumption of meat have a greater impact on the environment than our cars do.
